The legendary Sbrinz Route – named after the famous Swiss cheese – leads from Lake Lucerne to Italy.
However, it is the section between Handeck and Grimsel Hospiz that is one of the main highlights of this old trading route. Spectacular stone bridges and paths from long ago take you along gorges, wild streams, rock slabs and the banks of the Räterichsbodensee reservoir up to the first Swiss hotel to be mentioned in official documents – the Grimsel Hospiz.
