Direct to a winter wonderland
The Sidelhornbahn brings you from the Hotel Grimsel Hospiz over Lake Grimsel to the foot of the Sidelhorn, the starting point of the alpine hiking trails to the summit of the Sidelhorn, and the breathtaking high trail to Lake Trübten and Lake Oberaar.
This gondola was also originally built as a service railway, and now brings hikers in no time at all to the continental divide between the Aare and Rhone from the north and south.

Tickets
Tickets can be purchased online, at the Tourist Center Grimseltor in Innertkirchen, at reception of the Hotel Grimsel Hospiz and at the ticket machines at the Visitor Centre at the Grimsel Hospiz and at the Sidelhornbahn top station.
Accepted means of payment the ticket machines on site: EC and credit cards, REKA and Postcard, Twint.
Subsequent amendments, exchanges or refunds of the purchase price are not permitted.
Location & Getting there
The base station is located at the Grimsel Hospiz.
The Grimsel Hsopiz is accessible by bus and car.

Equipment
We recommend sturdy footwear and weatherproof clothing. The mountain trails require sure-footedness and a head for heights.
Physical prerequisite
The Sidelhornbahn is only accessible via stairs and is thus not suitable for wheelchairs or prams.
Meals and Refreshments
Pre- and post-tour meals and refreshments are available at the Hotel Grimsel Hospiz and the Hotel and Nature Resort Handeck.
